Synopsis
Hear Me Out (On est fait pour s'entendre, 2021) is a French comedy-drama directed by Pascal Elbé that you can watch online on iFILM. Antoine, a history teacher in his early fifties, realizes he can barely hear anymore — and flatly refuses to admit it.
To hide it, he retreats into his own silent bubble while everyone around him finds his behavior stranger by the day. Then he meets Claire, a widow whose young daughter stopped speaking after losing her father. Two people walled off from the world, each in a different way, slowly learn to listen to one another again. Elbé directs himself in the lead, alongside Sandrine Kiberlain, Valérie Donzelli and Emmanuelle Devos.
