Synopsis
The Girl Who Knew Too Much (La ragazza che sapeva troppo, 1963) is Mario Bava's thriller you can watch online in good quality. Nora, an American obsessed with detective novels, flies into Rome for a holiday — and on her very first night sees a woman stabbed to death on the Spanish Steps.
The police chalk her account up to nerves and a hallucination. Then Nora learns the truth: a decade earlier, a girl was killed on that exact spot, in that exact way. The old "alphabet murders" were never solved, and now she's pulled into the cold case herself — part amateur sleuth, part likely next victim.
This black-and-white film is widely regarded as the first giallo, the Italian murder-mystery horror that Dario Argento and dozens of imitators would build on. Bava fused a rational puzzle with uneasy camerawork and stumbled onto the genre's whole blueprint: the outsider tourist, the gloved killer, the city as a trap. Essential for anyone curious where giallo began. Stream The Girl Who Knew Too Much (1963) online on iFILM.
