Synopsis
My Life Directed by Nicolas Winding Refn (2015) is available to watch online on iFILM — a 58-minute documentary shot by Liv Corfixen, the filmmaker's wife, during the Bangkok production of Only God Forgives.
The camera goes where a studio crew never would: into arguments about the material, onto the set with Ryan Gosling between takes, into late-night calls with Alejandro Jodorowsky that serve as Refn's unlikely creative compass. Kristin Scott Thomas, in the cast of Only God Forgives, also passes through. What Corfixen catches is less a standard making-of and more a portrait of doubt — a director certain about the frame and unsure the film is finding it.
