Synopsis

Catalina shares a cramped home with her mother Hilda and her brother Bayron, counting coins while richer girls flaunt cars and gold. One idea takes over her head: get breast implants, and the money, the men and the status will follow. She dumps her boyfriend Albeira and lets cartel dealers keep her in exchange for her body. Behind her back, the jilted Albeira and her own mother quietly drift into a relationship. Isabel Cristina Cadavid plays Catalina, alongside Linda Lucía Callejas and Juan Sebastián Calero.
The film grew out of Bolívar's Colombian novel and its hit telenovela, and it hits a raw nerve: beauty treated as currency, paid for with a girl's youth.
