Synopsis
The Bullet Train (1975) is a Japanese thriller you can watch online on iFILM. Directed by Junya Sato, it stars Ken Takakura and Sonny Chiba in a film that ran the high-speed bomb premise two decades before Speed made it famous in the West.
A bomb is hidden aboard the Hikari-109, a bullet train carrying 1,500 passengers. It will detonate the moment the train slows below 80 km/h. The bombers, led by a man named Okita, demand five million dollars for the deactivation instructions. Police chase leads while the crew keeps the train moving blind.
