Synopsis
Werewolf (Wilkołak, 2019) is a Polish wartime horror by Adrian Panek that you can watch online on iFILM. There is no monster with fangs and a curse here. Summer 1945: eight children walk out of the Gross-Rosen camp and end up in an abandoned forest palace, with twenty-year-old Hanka, herself a former prisoner, left to keep them alive.
The kids have barely unlearned the camp's reflexes when the dogs arrive. SS guard Alsatians, set loose and gone feral, ring the palace and wait. The food runs out. No adults are coming. And the survival instinct the camp drilled into these children wakes up again, sharper than fear.
Panek shoots it lean and quiet, trading jump scares for hunger, silence and the animal threat outside the walls. The real question is who the beast is — the dog at the door or the system that made it. The film picked up genre-festival prizes and suits anyone who likes slow, suffocating horror grounded in real history. Stream Werewolf (2019) online on iFILM.
