Afro Village (Season 1)

Afro Village (2025) is a Russian comedy series you can watch online on iFILM. Anatoly Stolbov — played by Vladimir Sychyov — has run the village of Ruzskoye for years: spend the budget, set a decent table for the central inspectors, look competent. His daughter Tanya goes to Africa to teach Russian and comes back with a group of displaced people who need somewhere to live.

Stolbov's answer is immediate and firm: no. But Tanya moves faster — she introduces the Africans to the visiting commission as participants in an international resettlement program launched by her father personally. The government promises development funds. The guests aren't going anywhere.
