Synopsis
Il Ministro (2016) is an Italian dark comedy directed by Giorgio Amato, available to watch online on iFILM. Businessman Franco Lucci — Gianmarco Tognazzi — is a few days from losing everything. One public contract can save him, and one minister-turned-friend can make it happen. The plan: a lavish dinner, a bribe, and a girl willing to spend the night.
Finding the girl falls to Michele, Franco's brother-in-law — Fortunato Cerlino, familiar to viewers of Gomorrah. Michele finds someone. Just not the right someone. The evening collapses in stages, taking everyone's composure with it. Franco's wife Rita watches it all unfold while pretending she doesn't understand exactly what's going on.
