Synopsis
Suspended Time (Hors du temps, 2024) is Olivier Assayas's French tragicomedy, available to watch online on iFILM. It unfolds in the spring of 2020, when lockdown shuts a pair of couples inside a country house.
A film director and his brother retreat to their childhood home outside Paris, partners in tow, and forced confinement slowly turns into a gentle comedy of manners. Disinfectant rituals, petty arguments and old sibling history fill the days. Vincent Macaigne and Micha Lescot play the brothers, who find that isolation works less like a prison and more like a pause to look back.
