Under the Vines (2021) is a New Zealand comedy-drama series you can watch online on iFILM. Daisy, an eccentric Australian socialite, and Louis, a stiff English lawyer, fly into the country to collect their respective inheritances — only to find they've each been left the same struggling vineyard. Neither of them has ever done a hard day's physical work. They also can't stand each other.

Rebecca Gibney and Charles Edwards make the odd-couple setup work better than the premise deserves. His solution to everything is a formal protocol; hers is cheerful improvisation; the vines don't care either way and are dying regardless. Shot against the rolling New Zealand countryside, it's comfortable viewing that doesn't overstay its welcome — the kind of series that earns its happy moments by not rushing them.
