Synopsis
"Mood" (2022) is a BBC Three drama you can watch online on iFILM, written and led by Nicôle Lecky. Her character Sasha is twenty-five, a would-be rapper and singer thrown out of the family home, spending her days in a small room making bedroom tracks nobody's heard yet.
Then Sasha meets Carli — confident, connected and very good at making precarious things look glamorous. What starts with parties and social media deals slides into online sex work, and the distance between that world and the music career Sasha actually wants keeps widening. Lecky adapted the series from her own stage play, which gives it a specific voice: this isn't a cautionary tale, it's an honest account of what running out of good options actually looks like.
