Synopsis
El Refugio (2022) is a Spanish-language sci-fi series you can watch online on iFILM. A family in a small Mexican village begins to experience events they cannot explain — phenomena the outside world is linking to an unknown and invisible force.
With news broadcasts as their only window to what is happening beyond the village, two divorced parents who barely get along are forced into close quarters to protect their children. Alberto Guerra and Ana Claudia Talancón play the estranged couple, and the friction between them runs parallel to the larger threat outside. What the family sees on television and what is actually outside the door starts to blur.
