Cossack (Казачок, 2024) is a Russian family comedy you can watch online on iFILM. Glued to his phone and skipping class, teenager Stepa gets shipped off to his grandmother's village for the summer — a punishment, not a holiday.

Dodging the local kids, he dives into an old well and climbs out into a Cossack settlement of the 17th century, at a turning point in the country's past. Director Igor Zaytsev drops a screen-addicted boy into the world of his ancestors: horses, sabres, the rules of the community and a very different weight behind a given word. Stepa makes real friends, picks up the history lesson he once slept through, and slowly stops being a tourist in his own roots. Light, warm and built for watching with kids.
