Synopsis
Playing Go (2025), known in China as 棋士, is a crime thriller you can watch online on iFILM. Cui Ye is a mild-mannered Go instructor — until he's taken hostage during a robbery at a credit center, and a single night unravels the quiet life he knew.
To survive, he helps the gunman slip past the police. The one thing he has ever been good at — thinking ten moves ahead on a Go board — turns out to work just as well off it: cold, precise, ruthless. Cornered by circumstance, the gentle teacher starts putting that gift to criminal use and slowly hardens into a crime boss no one can rein in. On his trail is his own brother, Cui Wei, a police officer.
