Synopsis
Matchmaking Hussar (1980) is a Soviet comedy directed by Svetlana Druzhinina that you can watch online on iFILM. A dashing hussar falls for the daughter of a pawnbroker and decides he will marry her. The prospective father-in-law turns out to be spectacularly tight-fisted. No dowry without a fight.
The hussar does not walk away. He runs rings around the old miser and extracts money the man never meant to part with.
