The Island (Seasons 1–2)

The Island (Остров, 2016) is a Russian comedy series you can watch online on iFILM. Director Alexander Naumov. Eight contestants are dropped on an uninhabited tropical island to shoot a reality show — tasks, ratings, a cash prize for the winner.

The yacht carrying the film crew explodes. The contestants take it for a dramatic opening stunt and start playing the game. They complete challenges, earn imaginary scores, form alliances, and scheme against each other for an audience that no longer exists. No one is filming them. No signal out. No rescue team tracking their location. Yanina Studilina, Denis Kosyakov, Irina Vilkova, and Kirill Melekhov lead an ensemble where every character is trying hard to win a competition that has already ceased to exist — which means the actual survival is happening whether they notice it or not.
