From 2034, architect Dima Nosov traces the friendships, wrong turns, and accidental encounters that eventually led to the woman his kids will one day call Mom. His circle includes Pasha and Lucy, the couple already picking a venue, and Yura Sadovsky — a committed cynic who finds the whole institution of marriage baffling. The action is rooted in Moscow at the end of the 2000s, which gives the show a very specific texture that the original can't replicate. Alexander Smirnov and Daria Shchyogoleva lead the cast, with Alexander Seteykein as the resident skeptic.
