Season 3

Inspector George Gently (2010), Season 3 is a 1960s British detective drama, just two episodes, free to watch online on iFILM. A short run, but each case carries a false bottom.

In the first, Gently and Bacchus close in on a family whose secrets turn out worse than any surface motive. In the second, a well-known left-wing academic is murdered, and the inquiry brushes up against politics, ideology and how the North handles new ideas. Two near-feature-length stories give the cases room to breathe and the partners another chance to clash.
