About

Synopsis

Mommie Dearest (1981) is an American biographical drama you can watch online on iFILM, directed by Frank Perry and based on Christina Crawford's memoir of the same name. Faye Dunaway plays Joan Crawford — one of Hollywood's defining stars of the 1930s and 1940s — in a portrait that strips away every layer of the public legend.

The film traces the life of Joan's adopted daughter Christina, played first as a child by Mara Hobel and later by Diana Scarwid. Behind the walls of the Crawford mansion, a mother's obsession with control and perfection becomes something far harder to live through. As Joan's career stalls and her personal life splinters, the emotional pressure on her children tightens.

Dunaway's performance — mannered, furious, completely committed — turned the film into something its makers didn't quite plan: a towering camp classic that has been quoted, costumed and revived for decades. Stream Mommie Dearest (1981) online on iFILM.
