12+Season 11
Synopsis
Watch Agatha Christie's Poirot Season 11 (1989) with David Suchet online on iFILM, with all four episodes of the British detective series gathered on a single page. This is the 2008 run, and every episode is a feature-length Christie adaptation.
Four cases follow one after another. "Mrs. McGinty's Dead" starts from a verdict already handed down: a man named Bentley sits convicted of killing his landlady, yet Superintendent Spence doubts it and asks Poirot to look again. "Cat Among the Pigeons" ties a murder at an elite girls' school to a coup in a Middle Eastern kingdom. "Third Girl" brings him a frightened London flatmate who confesses to a killing — then vanishes before he can begin. The season ends with "Appointment with Death": an expedition into the Syrian desert chasing a relic, and a domineering Lady Boynton far too many people would gladly bury.
Two of these stories pair him with crime writer Ariadne Oliver, played by Zoë Wanamaker — a lighter breath after the bleak tenth season. Suchet plays it finer now: more irony, more of the detective's weariness. For lovers of golden-age English mysteries and clever solutions, season 11 delivers exactly what they come for.
