Synopsis
The King Tide (2024) is Christian Sparkes' supernatural thriller, available to watch online on iFILM. On a tiny island cut off from the mainland, a wrecked boat washes ashore carrying an infant — and that single discovery slowly poisons an entire community.
The mayor and his wife, grieving a child of their own, take the baby in and name her Isla. Years pass, and the truth surfaces: her touch can heal any illness. The islanders build a quiet cult around the girl, hiding her from outsiders, guarding her like shared treasure — until the gift abruptly vanishes. Faith curdles into fear, neighbors split into factions, and the argument over whether to protect Isla or hand her to mainland doctors pushes the village toward open war with itself.
Sparkes shapes a tense parable about belief and possession: stark, beautiful coastline, mounting paranoia, almost no visual effects. Frances Fisher and Clayne Crawford anchor the cast, with newcomer Alix West Lefler as Isla. It's a chamber piece for viewers who like unsettling stories where the menace grows out of ordinary people rather than a monster. Stream The King Tide (2024) online on iFILM.
