Surrounded

Surrounded (2023) is a hard-bitten Western you can watch online on iFILM — 100 minutes of frontier drama and gunfire directed by Anthony Mandler. Letitia Wright plays Mo Washington, a Black Civil War veteran riding through the Old West disguised as a man to reach a gold claim of her own.

The stagecoach gets ambushed, and Mo ends up saddled with an unwanted job: guard a captured outlaw named Tommy Walker until help arrives. Alone with a killer in open desert, she has to last the day while his gang circles back to spring him. Jamie Bell plays the prisoner as a smooth talker who needles her for hours, hunting for the crack in her armor. The film leans on that two-hander standoff rather than spectacle, and it asks who out here is worth trusting. It also carries weight as one of Michael Kenneth Williams' final screen roles.
