At every stop they paddle out hunting one flawless, empty, endless ride. Brown narrates it himself, turning a shoestring travel diary into a wry love letter to a whole way of living.
Shot on 16mm for next to nothing, the film broke out of beach screenings into wide release and became a surprise hit, carrying surf culture far beyond California.
