Synopsis
Red Dwarf (1988), Season 5 is streaming online on iFILM — six episodes from 1992 of the BBC space comedy, with the last human alive and his three odd companions getting battered all over again, three million light years from Earth.
This run goes darker and more ambitious. Rimmer is recruited onto a holographic dream ship where everything he ever wanted comes true. A figure called the Inquisitor turns up to judge whether each of their lives was worth living at all. A psi-moon drags Rimmer's fears into the open and turns them loose on the crew, a holovirus drives everyone mad, and a duplication gadget spits out evil and angelic copies of all four. It closes on "Back to Reality," an episode that leaves you doubting whether any of the show was ever real.
