Rimmer accepts the mantle of his dashing alter ego Ace and ships out, while Kristine Kochanski — Lister's old flame from a parallel dimension — drops in through a wormhole and stays. The season throws the crew into Dallas on the day Kennedy was shot, then into a virtual Pride and Prejudice. Lister finds himself missing Rimmer, Kryten sulks over the newcomer, and a three-million-year-old infection ends up costing Lister an arm.
