TV-PGSynopsis
Red Dwarf (1988), Season 1 is the BBC sci-fi sitcom you can watch online on iFILM — six episodes about the last human alive, stranded three million years out in deep space.
Lowly technician Dave Lister steps out of stasis to grim news: the entire crew of the mining ship is long dead, and Earth is an unreachable smear of light somewhere behind him. His company? A hologram of his insufferable bunkmate Arnold Rimmer, a vain creature called Cat who evolved from the ship's pet, and Holly, a computer whose three-million-year shift has left him a bit dim. These first episodes are the foursome learning to share a corridor: they catch echoes of their own futures at light speed, Lister sits a chef's exam just to outrank Rimmer, and Rimmer finally finds the perfect roommate — a copy of himself.
Cheap sets, cramped halls, and writing that carries the whole run. This is where one of British television's most durable comedies begins. Stream Red Dwarf Season 1 online on iFILM.
