Synopsis
Crocodile (악어, 1996) is Kim Ki-duk's debut feature — watch it online on iFILM. A man called Crocodile lives under a bridge on the Han River with an old man and a stray kid, surviving by theft and intimidation. He doesn't ask for company and he doesn't offer any.
Then he pulls a girl out of the water. She came to drown. She leaves — and comes back. What follows is one of the strangest love stories in South Korean cinema: brutal, deliberately ugly, and somehow sincere about the kind of attachment that forms between people with nowhere else to go. Every signature of Kim Ki-duk's later career — the confrontational imagery, the silence, the abrupt tenderness — is already here in his first film. Watch Crocodile (1996) online on iFILM.
