Synopsis
Terri (2011) is an indie comedy-drama you can watch online on iFILM. A quiet coming-of-age story, it centers on a fifteen-year-old who wears pajamas to school and feels out of place wherever he goes.
Terri is a big, awkward kid in a small town. At home he's the only one caring for an ailing uncle; at school he's an easy target. Things shift when his assistant principal, Mr. Fitzgerald, takes an interest — a grown man who hasn't quite figured out his own life but genuinely keeps reaching for the boy. Two equally adrift classmates drift into his orbit, and from those clumsy connections a real friendship slowly takes shape.
Director Azazel Jacobs treats his characters without an ounce of condescension: no villains here, no tidy answers. Jacob Wysocki carries the whole thing, while John C. Reilly delivers one of his warmest turns as the well-meaning principal. A gentle film for anyone drawn to honest stories about loneliness and the awkward years. Stream Terri (2011) online on iFILM.
