Synopsis

Each woman is dealing with the same thing and doing it completely differently. The eldest manages, the middle one deflects, the youngest has quietly been carrying everything. Old resentments surface fast when there's nowhere to escape. Jacobs keeps the camera close and the setting almost theatrical — most of the film is just these three women talking, falling silent, and talking again. The performances are the whole argument for watching it.
