Synopsis
The Manny (Der Nanny, 2015) is a German comedy you can watch online on iFILM. Slick businessman Clemens Klina has time for everything except his two kids. He needs a nanny fast — and hires the first man who turns up without asking many questions.
The catch: the new nanny isn't there for the job. Rowald (Milan Peschel) was once burned by Klina, and he's moved into the house to take his revenge from the inside. Trouble is, the children take to him, the home comes alive for the first time in years, and his carefully plotted payback keeps stalling. Matthias Schweighöfer — who also directs — plays the vain father whom life slowly nudges toward decency.
It's a broad domestic farce in the mold of Germany's crowd-pleasing hits: loud, colorful and headed for a predictably warm finish. There's no great depth here, but it's a tidy pick for a night when you just want to laugh. Stream The Manny (2015) online on iFILM.
