Synopsis
Balls Out: Gary the Tennis Coach (2009) is an American sports comedy from director Danny Leiner that you can watch online on iFILM. Gary, a high-school janitor, once had real promise on the tennis court — now he mops the halls. Then, out of nowhere, he's handed the school team.
Played by Seann William Scott, Gary inherits a pack of awkward misfits whose previous coach had drained every last drop of fun out of the game. His coaching style is its own thing: shouting across the net, jokes well below the belt, rackets swinging, zero filter. Somehow these timid kids straighten up and turn into real contenders for the Nebraska state title. The school board is horrified, and Gary tangles himself in a messy situation with a couple of admirers — so winning becomes the only way he talks his way out of trouble.
It's a no-frills underdog comedy in the vein of Dodgeball, with Randy Quaid along for a supporting turn. The humor is crude and unbothered — pretty much what you'd expect from an American Pie star playing a loose-cannon coach. Stream Balls Out: Gary the Tennis Coach (2009) online on iFILM.
