Synopsis
Cahill: United States Marshal (1973) is a John Wayne Western you can watch online on iFILM, directed by Andrew V. McLaglen, a frequent Wayne collaborator on his later films.
J.D. Cahill is the toughest U.S. Marshal in the territory, the kind whose name alone stops outlaws cold. But chasing criminals has cost him his home life. His two neglected sons get tangled up in a bank robbery, partly just to win their father's attention, and end up on the wrong side of the law he enforces. A cold-blooded gang leader, played by George Kennedy, makes the whole mess far worse.
Late-period Wayne plays not a flawless hero but a tired father owning up to his failures, and that's what carries the film more than the gunfights do. A sturdy, unhurried Western for fans of the old school. Stream Cahill: United States Marshal online on iFILM.
