Godzilla vs. Megalon
Dreaded Megalon from the undersea kingdom! A miraculous deathblow from the wound-ridden Godzilla!
Synopsis
Godzilla vs. Megalon (1973) is a Toho kaiju action film directed by Jun Fukuda, available to watch online on iFILM. The undersea civilization of Seatopia, battered by surface-world nuclear testing, dispatches their beetle god Megalon to level Tokyo — and seizes inventor Goro Ibuki's humanoid robot Jet Jaguar to guide the monster straight to its target.
Katsuhiko Sasaki plays Ibuki, who manages to wrest back control of Jet Jaguar and send it to recruit Godzilla. What follows is 82 minutes of rubber-suited combat that the Toho crew played completely straight, which is exactly what makes it work. Unpolished, fast, and cheerfully over the top — this is the era of kaiju filmmaking at its most direct. Stream Godzilla vs. Megalon (1973) online on iFILM.
