Twin brothers, both around ten, are alone in a remote house surrounded by cornfields. Their mother comes home with her face wrapped in surgical bandages — and something about her feels wrong. Cold, distant, operating by new rules she won't explain. The boys grow convinced a stranger is living in their house, wearing their mother's name. What follows is a test of how far two children will go to find out the truth.
