Son of Godzilla

Son of Godzilla (1967) is a Japanese sci-fi kaiju film from Toho Studios you can watch online on iFILM. Director Jun Fukuda moves the action to a remote tropical island where a team of scientists is running weather-control experiments — until something goes wrong, the giant praying mantis creatures known as Kamacuras break loose, and a small, helpless infant monster turns up alone on the beach.

Godzilla arrives to claim the creature as his own, and what follows is less city-levelling destruction than an awkward parenthood story set against a monster-movie backdrop. Reporter Goro Maki, played by Tadao Takashima, and castaway Saeko add a human thread, but the real draw is watching the King of Monsters figure out what to do with a child who can't yet fight.
