Mystery Science Theater 3000 (1989) is the cult American comedy series you can watch online on iFILM — all seasons of a show that invented its own genre and somehow refuses to die. The setup: a man and two wisecracking robots are marooned on a satellite by mad scientists and forced to endure an endless feed of cinematic garbage. Their only weapon is a running commentary, delivered from silhouettes at the bottom of the screen.

Creator Joel Hodgson launched it on a tiny Minnesota cable channel, and the format turned out to be infinitely scalable. Bad creature features, forgotten sci-fi duds, bargain-bin westerns — the worse the movie, the better the episode. Over two hundred episodes across eleven original seasons, stints on Comedy Central and the Sci Fi Channel, and eventually a Netflix revival, all built on the same premise: talking back at the screen is not just allowed, it's the whole point.
