What Men Talk About

What Men Talk About (О чём говорят мужчины, 2010) is a Russian road comedy you can watch online on iFILM, directed by Dmitry Dyachenko. Four longtime friends in their late thirties — Kamil, Lyosha, Sasha and Slava — climb into a car in Moscow and drive south to Odessa for two days, trading their offices, wives and routines for the open road.

The film is essentially one extended conversation. Leonid Barats, Alexander Demidov, Kamil Larin, and Rostislav Khait — all four members of the comedy group Kvartet I — wrote the script themselves and play versions of the same. Over two days they cover relationships, money, age, missed chances, and whatever else surfaces when four men who know each other too well have nowhere to go but forward. Zhanna Friske, Nonna Grishayeva and Oleg Menshikov appear in supporting roles.
