Synopsis
Horror Express (Pánico en el Transiberiano, 1972) is a horror film you can watch online on iFILM. Manchuria, 1906: Professor Saxton digs a frozen prehistoric humanoid out of the permafrost and crates it onto the Trans-Siberian Express bound for Moscow. On the Peking platform a Russian monk crosses himself and warns that something evil is sealed inside. Soon passengers turn up dead, their eyes bleached chalk-white.
Peter Cushing plays Saxton, Christopher Lee his rival scientist, and Telly Savalas storms in halfway through as a brutal Cossack officer. The thing in the crate, it emerges, jumps from body to body and drains its victims' memories — and there's nowhere to run on a speeding train. Eugenio Martín's Spanish-British production turns a tiny budget and a single carriage set into tight, claustrophobic suspense. Better still, Lee and Cushing — usually enemies in Hammer films — finally fight on the same side here. A treat for anyone who loves old-school confined-space horror.
