James grew up cut off from the world, with a single source of joy: a children's TV show about a bear named Brigsby, produced for him alone. When the illusion shatters and James lands in the real world, he has no map — only an obsessive love for a fictional character and a plan to film the ending himself.
The script came from SNL alumni Kyle Mooney and Beck Bennett, who also appear on screen. The film drew warm responses at Sundance 2017.
