Synopsis
The Tingler (1959), directed by William Castle, is a horror film you can watch online on iFILM. Pathologist Dr. Warren has a theory: fear is a physical force, and inside every human body lives a creature that feeds on it — a parasite capable of crushing the spine if the host cannot scream.
Warren finds his ideal test subject in a deaf-mute woman who cannot make a sound when terrified. When an X-ray finally reveals the creature, it escapes — and the doctor spends the rest of the film trying to contain something that thrives on silence. Vincent Price plays Warren with total conviction, keeping things grounded even as the premise goes gloriously sideways.
