Synopsis
Lake Placid: Legacy (2018) is a made-for-TV creature horror you can watch online on iFILM, built around a giant man-eating crocodile. Darrell Roodt directs this sixth entry in the franchise.
A group of young urban explorers chases a spot that shows up on no map and pings no GPS. When they reach an island in the middle of the lake, they find an abandoned facility — and the thing it was built to contain. Something the size of a bus is circling in the black water. From there it's simple survival math: who makes it back to the boat, and who becomes bait.
No marquee names and an obvious TV budget, yet the movie plays the genre straight — fog, rusted metal, sudden lunges from below the surface. It's popcorn fare for an undemanding night when you want a crocodile and some blood rather than depth. Fans of the series and of monster B-horror will have a good time.
