Synopsis
Quicksand (Arenas mortales, 2023) is a Colombian survival thriller you can watch online on iFILM. A married couple, already halfway to divorce, drives into the rainforest hoping a hike might fix what's broken between them.
It doesn't. A wrong turn drops them in front of armed criminals, and the gunfire chases them straight into a bog that won't let go. Trapped in the muck, with predators circling and venomous snakes sliding through the water, the two have to cooperate or die separately. Director Andres Beltran keeps it lean — 82 minutes, almost no room to breathe — with Carolina Gaitán and Allan Hawco carrying the tension.
