Synopsis

Hannah Lee Baker lives with her older sister Amber and a junkie uncle, all of them under the thumb of another uncle — Frank Stinson (James Purefoy), who runs the family's meth, guns and biker crew. Hannah is obsessed with chess and starts seeing the people around her as pieces to move. When Amber falls for the wrong man, Hannah quietly sets the predators against each other. Director Mark Young keeps it dry and brutal, never glamorizing the life.
