Synopsis
The 101-Year-Old Man Who Skipped Out on the Bill and Disappeared (2016) is a Swedish adventure comedy sequel you can watch online on iFILM. Directors Måns and Felix Herngren bring Robert Gustafsson back as Allan Karlsson — this time the centenarian is chasing a lost recipe for a Soviet-era folk soda that went missing sometime in the early 1970s.
The recipe turns out to be extremely desirable to several parties who really should not be chasing a 101-year-old across continents: the CIA, a Balinese debt collector, and assorted soft drink industry rivals all want a piece of it. Allan is untroubled by any of this. He moves at his own pace, stumbles into the executive chair of a beverage company, and generally finds that the world panicking around him is a situation he has seen before.
If the first film worked for you, this one delivers the same formula — absurdist mishaps, improbable geography, and the running joke that the oldest man in the room is always the calmest. Stream The 101-Year-Old Man on iFILM.
