Maine Océan (1986) is a French comedy by Jacques Rozier — watch online on iFILM. On the train from Paris to Saint-Nazaire, a ticket inspector clashes with Dejanira, a Brazilian passenger, until lawyer Mimi steps in on her behalf.

The four of them drift into each other's orbits for a few odd days near the sea, drawn into the company of a sailor whose relationship with language is hard to classify. Rozier came up with the Nouvelle Vague generation, and his instinct shows: conversations wander, plots dissolve into accidents, and the comedy lives in what nobody planned.
