Synopsis
House Arrest (2018) is a Russian comedy series you can watch online on iFILM. Mayor Arkady Anikeyev of the small town of Sineozyorsk gets caught taking a bribe — and a judge sends him home. The problem: his official registered address, listed that way to look modest, is a cramped communal apartment from his childhood, not the mansion he actually lives in.
He's stuck there now. His wife has walked out, his power is gone, and the neighbors have no reason to treat him like anyone special. Old neighbor Ivan Samsonov, though, sees an opportunity in all of this.
Directed by Pyotr Buslov (Boomer), the seven-episode TNT-Premier sitcom stars Pavel Derevyanko, Alexander Robak, Sergei Burunov, Gosha Kutsenko, Svetlana Khodchenkova, and Timofei Tribuntsev. The communal flat is less a setting than a pressure cooker — a microcosm where the man who used to run everything suddenly can't even control the TV remote.
