Synopsis
The Moon Thieves (2024) is a Hong Kong crime thriller you can watch online, built around a heist measured in ticking gears. A boutique watch shop hides a second trade: it moves stolen timepieces under the cold hand of a man they call Uncle. When a crew assembles, the target sits in Tokyo — three ultra-rare luxury watches.
Director Yuen Kim Wai lines up the usual specialists, a lock-picker, an explosives man, a connoisseur who can read a watch like a fingerprint, and sends them after a score that won't stay clean. Cantopop star Anson Lo plays one of the thieves. Greed bends the plan when one of them reaches for a fourth prize, the famed "moon watch," which turns out to belong to a local crime boss. From there the hunters become the hunted.
