Synopsis
In the Summers (2024) is a tender coming-of-age drama you can watch online on iFILM, the feature debut of writer-director Alessandra Lacorazza. It follows two sisters across several childhood summers spent with their father in Las Cruces, New Mexico.
Vicente loves his girls without question, but he can't always keep himself steady. Warm evenings by the pool give way to lapses everyone regrets by morning. The film jumps through years as the daughters grow up, resentments pile on, and closeness keeps breaking and mending. Rapper Residente plays the father, and his restrained, almost non-actorly presence anchors the whole thing.
