Synopsis
Chatterers (2023) is a Russian comedy you can watch online on iFILM. Danya moves from the provinces to Moscow carrying nothing but ambition and a dream of becoming a stand-up star.
He needs a roof right away, so he rents a room from Vyacheslav Sokolov — a grumpy old man who seems to hold a grudge against the whole world. The arrangement is rocky: cocky newcomer versus weary, acid-tongued veteran. Yet it turns out they share far more than expected, because Sokolov was once a celebrated Soviet satirist. The old school of comedy meets the new. Yuri Stoyanov and Gleb Kalyuzhny make up the bickering odd couple the whole show rests on — one remembers how to work a packed room, the other is desperate to conquer one from scratch.
