The Emei women's team heads into the Asian Women's Champions League as the side nobody expects to survive the group stage. Then their captain, nicknamed Shuangshuang, turns nearly unbeatable once her kung fu senior, Xu Feng, starts training her off the books. Wins start piling up — until a falling-out flips Xu Feng against the very team he built, right before the games that matter most.

Chow has mixed martial arts with sports before, and this reads like the natural follow-up to Shaolin Soccer — this time the story belongs to a team, not a lone prodigy. Takeru Sato and Carina Lau round out a cast built to travel across markets, not just play at home.
